Creative Souls Studio was established in 2007 by Jennifer Kerr with the vision of creating a positive, inclusive and safe space for students of all ages to learn to sing. Jenn “always wanted the studio to be a family place, a place where students can come to firstly learn technique and appreciation for music, but also a place to learn to express themselves in the best way - through song.”
Over the years Creative Souls has seen many students achieve their goals both professionally and personally. In 2018 Jenn opened the Port Douglas studio where she is actively involved in community productions and choirs. In 2019 Mary took over the studio.
The Pakenham studio currently has a team of 11 teachers, Brodie, Lucienne, Russ, Teaghan, Dan, Kobe, Will, Kaylah, Hannah, Kevin and Lucy, who strive to make lessons fun and work with students to help build their confidence and achieve their goals. With an emphasis on fun, our driving focus to inspire and educate provides the basis for each lesson, which is individually tailored to each student. This customisation allows students to form close bonds with their teacher so they can get the most out of each lesson.
We aim to offer a range of performance opportunities to those who are interested and hope to instil confidence in everyone who trains with us.
"I've always wanted the studio to be a family place, a place where students can come to firstly learn technique and appreciation for music, but also a place to learn to express themselves in the best way I know how - through song. I believe the teachers I have running the studio are of the same mindset and I am comfortable knowing that they will continue what I began."
